Yesterday was a special day in our family. Tyson was ordained an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Those who participated were: Bishop Brian Jeffs, Brother Hill (from the High Counsel), Bishop Dave Lamoreaux, Brother Tom Urquhart, Brother Cory Nielson, Uncle Scott Elder, friend Alex Plaster, and older brothers Hyrum and Kyle, and Russell (dad). Russell was blessed with the honor of ordaining him. I am so grateful to have worthy priesthood holders in our family. We are so grateful for this blessing in our family. Tyson, we love you and are very pleased! P.S. Ryan we missed you and we were thinking of you.

Birthday month

March is birthday month at our house. First we celebrated Lacey's birthday and then Russell and I celebrated our birthdays together yesterday. There are several other special people in our lives that celebrate their birthdays this month also such as: Solee, Mark, Sheila, Annmarie, Juanita, and many more. We are grateful for family and friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY everyone!

Camp Necklaces

Our Stake theme for girl's camp this year is, "Be Thou an Example." It comes from the General Young Men Young Women 2009 scripture found in 1 Timothy 4:12 "Be thou an EXAMPLE of the believers, in WORD, in CONVERSATION, in CHARITY, in SPIRIT, in FAITH, in PURITY." I LOVE this scripture! We are examples ALL the time, either for good or for bad, if we realize it or not.

Our stake color is black. I was asked to put together some beaded jewelry to add to our Stake camp necklace. I have never done this before, but I was very pleased how this and the stars below turned out. I know they are very simple, but I still like them alot. Jewelry making is now a new hobby for me.

Our emblem is a star. We need to be shinning examples all the time, just like a star shines.

Sweet Sixteen

During school I put this "Sweet Sixteen" tiara and some cupcakes in Lacey's locker. She was pleasantly surprised when she opened her locker and found these. She said she actually wore the tiara during school and she had fun sharing the cupcakes with her friends.

Lacey turned SIXTEEN on March 18th. It's hard to believe that our baby girl is sixteen. We love you Lacey!
