This was my 14th year in a row going to girl's camp...but who counting? I am. I can't seem to get enough of it. I love it! I feel so blessed to be able to have gone to camp all these years. I have been able to go with both Lindsey (five out of her six years) and Lacey (six out her six years). I have learned so much in so many areas. I am so grateful for the personal growth and the many fond memories that were created.

Behind Lacey, on the top of the rim, you can barely see Lone Pine (notice the snow). Apparently it really isn't a pine tree, it's a spruce tree, but it is referred to as Lone Pine. I remember my very first year going to camp we hiked along the rim to Lone Pine and we ate lunch there. Before the hike started, I didn't know that we were hiking there and if someone would have told me we were hiking there I would not have believed that I could have hiked that far. Well, this was the beginning of my love of hiking. The hikes are one of my favorite parts of camp.

Freedom Run

Lindsey is too cool! She ran the Freedom Run, bright and early on Independence Day, July 4th.

I went to watch her cross the finish line and on my way there I saw the many hot air balloons from that event. It was an awesome sight.

Smokey the Bear...of course I thought of Kyle when I saw this. His first year working for the Forest Service he was able to help with this big bear in the sky. It was a fun learning experience for him
